in 2008, after 65 years in cryogenic stasis, bucky’s body is discovered in the alps. he is turned over to the u.s. government, and resurrected by s.h.i.e.l.d., who train him as an operative. when steve is found and defrosted three years later, he awakens from his long sleep to find - against all odds - his oldest friend waiting at his bedside.

This is a general (almost) mix for what is arguably the best fic I have ever read. Tired and Wired has made us laugh and made us cry, inspired art and mixes and graphics, and knitted this fandom together in a truly remarkable way. Katy, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. I feel honoured to have had the chance to be a part of this experience, and I'm genuinely sad that it's coming to an end.

Downton Abbey is an English drama set in pre-WWI England and centered on the dramas of the Crawley family and their servants. The series begins with the sinking of the Titanic and the first season ends with the beginning of WWI.

It's Hillbilly/Ack-Ack, my new ship to fucking die for. I might even do a primer for them sometime because they are just the most beautiful, intense, tragic pairing ever ;___;

I don't even know what this is. Second fic ever, unbetaed, so it's probably not good at all. I just kind of sat down and started writing, and this came out.
I've taken a bit of artistic licence on some parts of it so please don't take anything too seriously.
